“Successful students will be able to identify, select, load, prime, and fire a full range of firearms platforms…”
Course Overview:
Learn how to use nearly any firearms platform available to the public. After this course, the successful student will be able to identify, select, load, prime, and fire a full range of firearms platforms.
You will learn the basics behind the mechanical function of each, the differences in ammunition used, benefits and downfalls of each platform according to application, various loading methods, inherent safety features, common maintenance, and more for each type of firearm presented. Various forms of optics, slings, magazines, and travel/storage cases will also be introduced to the student. This course is taught by a Naval Special Warfare Armorer.
Though students will have a chance to fire each platform, this course focuses much more on function, handling, and usage (loading, priming, taking apart and reassembling, safety precautions, etc).
